Kobe holds the title of Candidate Master, a testament to his high level of skill, dedication, and deep understanding of the game. In 2025, he added to his list of accomplishments by winning the U2200 section of the Connecticut State Championships, further solidifying his presence in the U.S. chess scene.

Since moving to the United States two years ago, Kobe has brought his passion for chess to the next generation through coaching. Over the past few months with DIG Chess, he has quickly made a positive impact by working closely with students of all skill levels. Known for his friendly and approachable personality, Kobe creates a welcoming environment where kids feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and growing both as players and individuals.

Beyond teaching the fundamentals and strategies of chess and organizing tournaments, Kwabena emphasizes important life skills such as focus, discipline, and sportsmanship.
