Coach Adrian Brud – General Manager of DIG Chess

Adrian Brud was born in Poland and moved to the United States when he was just 7 months old. He started playing chess at the age of 6 at his local Boys and Girls Club, where he won his first trophy and fell in love with the game. Since then, chess has been a major part of his life.
Adrian began working with DIG Chess as a volunteer and quickly proved himself through his leadership, energy, and connection with both students and parents. Now, as the General Manager of DIG Chess, Adrian plays a key role in organizing events, managing camps and tournaments, helping train coaches, and supporting day-to-day operations across all DIG programs.
He graduated from St. Joseph High School and is continuing his education at the University of Tampa, where he is majoring in Finance. Adrian’s drive, professionalism, and ability to connect with families have made him an essential part of DIG’s leadership team.

Adrian’s Work with DIG:
- Helped organize 30+ DIG chess tournaments and events
- Manages communication between families, coaches, and staff
- Oversees registration, scheduling, and logistics for multiple DIG locations
- Coaches beginners and helps new players build their confidence and skills
- Leads summer camps and supports team growth all year round
Fun Fact:
Adrian is one of the few DIG leaders who started at a young age and worked their way into a top management position before starting college. He’s known for being a strong mentor, bringing high energy to every event, and making chess fun and accessible to all ages.
