Description
From 11-1 pm, we will be hosting a blitz (unrated) chess tournament! Blitz means speed chess. Each player will have 5 mins on their clock (a super fun event and also a good way to warm up for the tournament). The top 3 finishers in the tournament will get trophies. You don’t need a USCF ID for blitz tournament.
This is a USCF Regular and Rapid Rated Tournament. Need active USCF Membership to participate. If you don’t have an ID, please get one here: US Chess Membership
You do not need to be a DIG chess player to participate in our tournaments.
DIVISIONS:
- Open (Advanced level players)
- U-1000 (Intermediate level players)
- U-800 (Advanced beginner level players)
- U-500 (beginner level players)
- U-300 (players who just started chess)
EQUIPMENT:
- DIG will provide chess sets and clocks
- Players can bring their own
- Bring water
TIME:
- Sunday, June 11th
- Arrive by 12:55 pm
- The tournament begins at 1:00 pm (ends by 4:15pm)
