DIG Chess – Westport Public Schools Program
DIG Chess is proud to partner with Westport Public Schools to provide after-school chess programs for elementary school students. Our goal is to introduce students to the game of chess while helping them develop critical thinking, focus, and problem-solving skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Our coaches work with students of all skill levels, from complete beginners who are learning the rules of chess to experienced players who want to improve their strategy and tournament skills.

DIG Chess currently runs after-school programs at the following Westport elementary schools:

Each class includes interactive instruction, puzzles, guided games, and friendly competition so students can apply what they learn right away.
Program Structure
Each session typically includes:

• Practice puzzles to reinforce the lesson
• Guided games with coaching and feedback
• Friendly matches with other students
Our goal is to make sure every student is learning, improving, and having fun while playing chess.
